About our Pastor

Rev. Robert Sidney McCaskill, Sr. was born,  in  Paterson, NJ.

His spiritual journey began in December 1989, when he was baptized by the late Rev. Dr. Weldon M. McWilliams, Sr. at the Grace Chapel Baptist Church,  Paterson,  NJ.            

Ministry became  reality for Rev. McCaskill when he was appointed a youth Sunday School teacher at the age of 16 by the late Rev. Zebedee Lawton ,at the Grace Chapel Baptist Church, Paterson, NJ. In October 2003, He was ordained as a Deacon under the Leadership of Rev. G.L. Wilson at the Grace Chapel Baptist Church. 

In 2010, Rev. McCaskill accepted his call to the Ministry under the Pastorate of the Late Bishop W.L. Maxwell at Solomon Temple Church, Paterson,  NJ, and preached his initial Sermon on Sunday May 21, 2011 at Solomon Temple. 

First Sunday in April 2016, Pastor McCaskill returned to Grace Chapel  Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor G.L. Wilson serving as an associate Minister, and Assistant Superintendent of the Sunday School Department.       

    In June of 2022, after much prayer, consideration and counsel from his  Pastor. Rev. McCaskill became a candidate for Pastor of Union Baptist Church of Bloomfield. With Gods guidance, and the prayers, leadership,and Support of Rev. Wilson, God saw fit to allow Rev. McCaskill to be called to the Pastorate on Christmas Day, Sunday, December 25, 2022.

Pastor McCaskill Holds a Dual Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Christian Counseling, a Master's in Business Administration, and is currently a Doctoral Candidate. To God be the Glory!

     Pastor McCaskill is married the love of his life,  Mrs. Latiesha L. McCaskill. They  were joined together in Holy Matrimony in June 2006. Together, they have three wonderful children.
